I'm Baaa-aack!

This is the house that Coastal Living built. Well, one of them. We had the privelage of being guests in this beautiful beach house on Bald Head Island, North Carolina last week. What a treat! Great friends, great food and the beach only steps away. Who could ask for anything more? We were there to celebrate the marriage of my good friend, Kristen and her new husband, Rich...and, I had such a good time I barely had time to take photos. Somehow, I still managed to rack up 1100. So, here is my first Bald Head Post. An official look at the island as a whole. I just realized that there are no marsh pictures in this post...hmmm...I might have to sneak one of those into a later post.

The bikes there were not fancy...I guess the sea salt rusts them fairly quickly...

We were lucky to be there when the loggerhead turtle nests were hatching...despite sitting on a beach late at night and crossing our fingers and our toes, we never did see any hatch. Oh well...

This is a shot of Rich taking a photo of some waves. He likes to 'shoot' landscapes with his 5D(that is for all my photog friends). I decided to go out shooting with him a couple of times(don't we sound like a couple of rednecks?). Somehow, I ended up with a lot of photos of him taking photos...hmmm...guess I like taking shots of people. I did manage some cool landscape shots...here are my faves.

Just so you know...I barely did anything to this last one. The sky got really wicked one night at sunset as a storm was rolling in. We were sitting at the table and both jumped up to try and capture the weird color being cast down on us. It was so cool...

Signs of Seattle

I thought that I would post some pics from around Seattle. Some of the sights will be familiar to those who have been there. Others maybe not...the Pike Place market...my favorite Seattle spot--isn't it everyone's?

My posting this in no way implies that I agree with the crazy nonsense these guys were spurting, but I thought it was a cool pic..that's all. America the free...

We went here for Kristen's bridal luncheon and I thought they had the best champagne ever...I can't remember the name for the life of me. Gina suggested I take this shot. I like how it turned out.

The space needle above...Experience Music Project below.

Well, that's all folks...there are lots more shots, but I am super busy trying to get them all processed before we go on vacation. I want to say that leaving comments on my blog is totally allowed. I get emails from people with comments and I keep thinking--what are they afraid of? Just post the comment on my blog, sheesh.
