So, I'm kind of on topic...These were taken at a cancelled Semana Santa procession in Granada, Spain. I was told that the church works all year looking forward to this one day when they parade their 400 year old floats(called Paros) through the street in all their glory. The only problem is the virgin Mary and Jesus statues are made of plaster and cannot be outside in the rain or they will be destroyed. It rained the whole week in Granada--which is very unusual--so every procession was cancelled. The people were very upset. The band did play and we were brought into the church to view the floats. There everyone was shouting in Spanish "Aurora: Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful"...Aurora means the dawn and was the name of the specific Virgin Mary they were there to pay respect to. It was very emotional(honestly, I even shed a tear or two). So, the first photo is of the crowd shouting as they got inside the church(it's in black and white as, honestly, there are issues with the color one that I am having trouble resolving). The second photo is an outside shot of the crowd just to give you an idea of how many people were there. And, the third photo is of the band members after they had played.

wow. What great shots! Love the first one of the people shouting.
Sorry the weather was an issue. I bet that parade would've been an amazing photo op!
great shots!!! Sounds like an awesome experience.
Wow! #1 is wonderful. I really like it in B&W. Some serious emotions captured in that photo. TFS.
I think you captured nice photojournalism here...really tells a story. I agree...that first one could be on the front page of a newspaper, it's so great and the BnW is a perfect conversion choice too.
I lived in Spain for about 18months and these pics really bring back memories.
wow... great shots. the first one portrays their emotions so vividly. You captured the size of the crowd great in the second. All of them are terrific shots, and thanks for the explanation in the journaling. Interesting story.
Love that first one! Esp. like how you put it in B&W. That makes it show tons of emotion!
Wow, what an amazing time to be in Spain!
I spent six weeks in Spain studying as a high school student, and loved every second. Your pictures are wonderful, they convey such a rawness (is that even a word?). Beautiful.
