Pistol Packing Mama Gets Hitched

This is not Annie Hall. I know that the hat might sway you towards thinking it could be, but it is in fact, my good friend, Kristen King...uh, make that Anstett. You see this weekend, she was married in a small rooftop ceremony in Seattle. It was a lovely wedding--even with the shingles. No, not like roofing shingles...the other kind of shingles. Yes, the groom, suffering from being a workaholic, got shingles three days before the wedding. But, we're not talking about it anymore. Photoshop is a wonderful thing.

Anywhoooo...we had a great time and I wanted to share some of my shots. I wasn't the official photographer--honestly, the tears would have gotten in the way. I'm such a suck in my old age. But, I did capture the day in my own way and I wanted to share it with you all. She is also having an east coast reception where I will be the official photographer and we will also do a 'trash the dress' session. I can't wait. And, for anyone else who is attending, I would be open to doing a couple of sessions for families or couples who are going to be in attendance. Just let me know before hand.

So, to market we went...for flowers to fill the room. Cheap flowers. At $1 per dalhia, Jess and I had that room looking tip top in no time flat. Too bad we didn't stop long enough to eat dinner. I can't remember when I last drank my supper. A cocktail reception indeed.

Kristen had her hair done at a very chi-chi salon. Of course, for those of you who know Kristen, this should not come as a surprise. It did look beautiful though. I can just hear her say "it should".

Kristen and the other Larry King. When I told customs that I would be staying at Larry King's house, they looked at me kind of funny.

How beautiful! And no sign of the shingles ;)

Jess and Eric...it was getting dark here. And not just outside, but also in my mind. The cocktail hour was officially taking its hold on me. Yikes! Eric, a police officer is also a talented ironer. Jess can decorate your wedding room in no time flat. She's cheap, but the wine's going to cost you. These two made our trip so delightful. We look forward to drinking...I mean hanging out with them more on the east coast...
