One Giant Thank-full Post

Recognize this guy? He used to be my banner boy! I just love him! Not only is he gorgeous, but he has such a mischievous little personality! I could just eat him up! He is also Bob's cousin's boy. You see we had a cousin weekend this past weekend. We all got together for some well organized fun in Calgary. First there was a sports day...football, baseball, and general chaos ensued. These first shots are from that day...

Here's my well dressed boy rocking his new robot shirt. What a fluke that it matched the goal posts perfectly! Photographer rule#1: always dress your kids cute in case photographic oppportunities occur! Photographer rule#2: your own kids will never want you to take their picture!

The second day, we had a pumpkin hunt in the ravine behind Mark and Angie's house. Here's the thing...Mark lugged 13 pumpkins(didn't anyone ever tell him that 13 is NOT a good number?) down to the bottom of the ravine, so we all thought--how bad could it be! Let me tell you...it was steep and thistly, but oh so much fun! And, some of these pumpkins were huge!

See the look of hesitation on Jack's face? He's like, really mom...another picture?

Here's Noah again, about to lose his pumpkin!

My little sweetie pie who is now letting me put barettes in her mangy hair! Yay!

Jack again...is that a smile happening?

Love Matthew, but man, the kid would not give me any love! Just one quick glance at the camera would have sufficed dude!

Of course, we had to paint them up once we lugged them back up the hill. Could you imagine if we had carved them? What a mess! Paint was messy enough...see Avery there painting her entire pumpkin white? And, then there is Georgia...who took for ever choosing just the right color being careful not to get any on her outfit. What a fun way to spend thanksgiving...it makes us thank-full indeed.
