So, on to the photos...we were blessed with a visit from my Great Aunt Dorothy who was out west for the holidays. I have only met her a handful of times in my life due to distance, but, for a long time, my beloved Grandmother lived with my mom. She spoke of her often, so I feel like I know her better than I should. Sitting down to tea with her reminded me so much of Grandma. She died three years ago on my birthday. When she passed, I gave her eulogy and had a...ahem...tough time doing so. My mother's dear friend and great mind, Cheryl, told me that I would be happy one day to have that bond with her. And, she's right. My grandmother lived a wonderful life...and a long one. Now, when I think of her I am filled with joy. And, when I saw Aunt Dorothy's arms with her little gold watch...all I could think of was my Grandma's hands. They were so similar. There was an empty chair at tea...I think we know who was in it.
This is my mom(isn't she cute?) and her Aunt(she's pretty cute, too)...
