Where has the time gone? In the blink of an eye, we went from being DINKS(dual income no kids) to being your average family of four driving a mini van to soccer games. Jack is five today. Wow...the day he was born, we were tired(his labour was unusually long) and weary, but so happy. He changed our lives forever for the better. Now, we appreciate sunny days, spiders, and water gun fights more than we ever thought was possible. And, without him, how would I know the entire plot line to Spiderman 3 without ever seeing it? He is an affectionate, passionate, happy child who oozes self-confidence and enjoys nothing more than spending time with his friends. He likes to play a board game before bed and then falls asleep surrounded by his favorite books that he 'reads' until he can't keep his eyes open any longer. He is a wonderful combination of tough and sensitive which shows up in the most interesting ways. Like when he hunts for ladybugs and insists on releasing them back to their family--they'll be missed after all. We couldn't be more proud of the boy he has become and can't wait to see what else he has in store for us. I'm posting a picture of him taken at Sears when he was three months old. I obviously didn't take it, but we also didn't have a digital camera back then, so I have few baby pictures on my hard drive.
He was such a chunky monkey ;) And, now everyday, he gets taller and skinnier-just like his father. I've posted this picture before, but I wanted to show him now...

Happy Birthday buddy! We hope you enjoyed your Spiderman party as much as we enjoy having you in our lives...
