I Have A Problem

Jack started kindergarten today. No, that is not my problem. In fact, it is a good thing. I know that I have been hearing all about how sad people are to see their kids go off to school for the first time...but, the plain truth of the matter is, I'm not. Don't get me wrong...I love L-O-V-E love him, but he L-O-V-E-S loves to be with his friends--and, well, any other kids for that matter. So, I'm happy for him that he is going to be doing what he loves all day. And, I'm happy for me. Happy because having just one seems so manageable now. Happy because he is also only going two or three full days a week, so on the other days we can still do the things we love to do together. Happy because Georgia can do some girl things now instead of always playing trucks and ninja turtles.

My problem is this...I am a crazy photographer mom. I not only have my two kids in tow today, but my full on camera bag with all my lenses and my mental list of all the shots I want to get. I took tonnes. Jack got fed up--as he always does(you'll see what we have come to call his Calvin impression in the lot). And, it all went so quickly, my mental list flew out of my head(along with my grocery list--if you find it let me know). So, these are what I got. My big boy with his big boy backpack bounding down the sidewalk to the ELEMENTARY school! Could anyone be happier than him?

And, for all you fans of the boy and his tiger, here is Jack's full on Calvin impression:

Finally, a nice shot...so it is off to school.

These last two pictures are of the sad little boy who had to go home when first day was done. See, no need for me to be sad, he's going to be just fine. And, I might actually get supper made a couple of times a week!
